DeLancey Park, in Cannel City, Morgan County, is five miles off the Mountain Parkway on Route 191. The park is named after William DeLancey Walbridge, the president of the Kentucky Block Cannel Coal Company, and the Ohio and Kentucky Railroad, integral to Cannel City’s history after 1901. This town was once a key hub for coal mining, with the company shipping cannel coal via the Ohio and Kentucky Railroad. The park features an original train caboose, offering a historical touch, a picnic area and a walking trail — perfect for outdoor enjoyment and a glimpse into the area’s rich industrial past.
